Article 153 of the Indian Constitution deals with the Governor of states which comes under part VI of the constitution.
The governor is nothing but a chief executive head of the state.
He is also known as the nominal head of the given state.
Under the 7th Constitutional Amendment Act of 1956, the Governor can be appointed for two or more states.

The role of the Governor is an independent constitutional office, and it is not under the control of the union government.
