Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
A complete a work in 15 days.
B complete a work in 12 days.
C complete a work in 20 days.
Concept Used:
Work done = Efficiency × Time
Calculation:
A’s 1 day’s work = 1/15
B’s 1 day’s work = 1/12
C’s 1 day’s work = 1/20
Ratio of their wages = A : B : C = 1/15 : 1/12 : 1/20 = 4 : 5 : 3
A's earning = 45000 × 4/12 = 15000
B's earning = 45000 × 5/12 = 18750
C's earning = 45000 × 3/12 = 11250
∴ The earnings of A, B and C is Rs. 15000, Rs 18750, Rs.11250
Total Work = LCM of days = 60
Efficiency of A = 60/15 = 4
Efficiency of B = 60/12 = 5
Efficiency of C = 60/20 = 3
Ratio of their wages = A : B : C = 4 : 5 : 3
A's earning = 45000 × 4/12 = 15000
B's earning = 45000 × 5/12 = 18750
C's earning = 45000 × 3/12 = 11250
∴ The earnings of A, B and C is Rs. 15000, Rs 18750, Rs.11250
