SSC CPO 2025: Salary In Hand

Candidates preparing for the SSC CPO Exam would want to know the SSC CPO salary in hand. The students who manage to qualify the SSC CPO Exam can earn a starting salary of Rs. 35,400. The Gross salary will be Rs. 47,496. The In hand salary calculate as Gross salary minus the Deductions. Therefore, the in hand salary will be Rs 41,231. This can go as high as Rs. 1,12,000. Sub Inspector in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF)

When you get selected through the SSC CPO exam, you will be appointed as a Sub Inspector with either the Delhi Police, the CAPF or as Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF.

The CAPF is a Paramilitary force also known as the Central Armed Police Forces.

It is not directly a wing of the Military.

It comes under the Home Ministry.

The CAPF includes the following forces:

  • BSF (Border Security Force)
  • Protecting the border between India & Pakistan
  • Promoting the sense of security in the citizens of India
  • Prevent crimes across the border and illegal refugees
  • CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force)
  • Responsible for controlling riots & Naxalites.
  • ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police)
  • Protecting the border between India & China (from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh)
  • Providing security at northern borders that are close to Pakistan and China
  • Preventing the violation of border
  • Preventing smuggling, anti-national activities and illegal immigration across the border.

Border Security Force

House Rent Allowance (HRA)
House rent allowance in SSC depends on the class of the city you are living in. HRA shall not be less than Rs. 5400/- pm, Rs. 3600/- pm and Rs.1800/- pm at X, Y & Z class cities respectively.

  • @ 24% of Basic pay for X category of cities
  • @ 16% of Basic Pay for Y category of cities
  • @ 8% of Basic Pay for Z category of cities

Dearness Allowance (DA)

The Dearness Allowance is an allowance that every Government employee gets and is calculated as a proportion of the basic salary. It basically is a cost of living adjustment allowance and is currently 12% of Basic Pay under the 7th Pay Commission.

Transport Allowance (TA)

The rate of transport allowance per month various according to the place you are living in as mentioned below:

  • Employees posted at all other places: Rs.1800+DA thereon

The risk/hardship allowance is given according to the post and the region. The sub-inspectors working in remote and dangerous areas are given the risk/hardship allowance
