Which of the following types of rain gauge is used for measuring rain in remote hill areas?

Symon’s gauge: It is the non-recording type rain gauge commonly used in India by the meteorological department.

Tipping bucket: This rain gauge consists of a circular collector funnel with a brass or gunmetal rim that directs the rain into a pair of tipping buckets. After rainwater has filled one side of the bucket with a small amount of rain, the assembly tips. An electrical pulse is generated on each tilt and is recorded to provide data of rain fallen with time.

It is preferred for measuring rainfall in remote hilly inaccessible areas.
