Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
The volume of a cuboid is twice that of a cube.
Height = 16 cm
Breadth = 8 cm
Length = 8 cm
Formula Used:
The volume of the cuboid = Length × Breadth × Height
Volume of cube= (edge)3
Calculation:
The volume of the cuboid = 8 × 8 × 16
= 1024
The volume of a cuboid = 2 × volume of a cube.
The volume of a cuboid = 2 × (edge)3
(edge)3 = 1024/2 = 512 m
edge = 8 m
The total surface area of the cube = 6 × 64
= 384 m 2
∴ The total surface area of the cube is 384 m 2.Last updated on Jun 13, 2025
