6x2 - x - 2 = 0 

Calculation:

6x2 - x - 2 = 0

⇒ 6x2 - 4x + 3x - 2 = 0

⇒ 2x(3x - 2) + 1(3x - 2)

⇒ (2x + 1)(3x - 2) = 0 

So, 2x + 1 = 0 and 3x - 2 = 0

⇒ x = \(-\frac{1}{2}\) and x = \(\frac{2}{3}\)

∴ The correct answer is option 3.
