(x - h)2 + (y - k)2 = a2
गणना:
हमारे पास, व्यास के समीकरण इस प्रकार हैं
x - y = 3 ----(1)
3x + y = 5 ----(2)
समीकरण (1) और (2) को हल करने पर, हम प्राप्त करते हैं
x = 2 और y = -1
चूँकि किसी वृत्त के किन्हीं दो व्यासों का प्रतिच्छेद का बिंदु उसका केंद्र होता है।
∴ केंद्र के निर्देशांक (2, -1) हैं और इसकी त्रिज्या 5 (दिया गया) है।
अत: वृत्त का समीकरण निम्न द्वारा दिया जाता है
(x - 2)2 + (y + 1)2 = 52
⇒ x2 + 4 - 4x + y2 + 1 + 2y = 25
