How to Apply for AP EDCET Entrance Exam 2025?

 AP EDCET 2025 application can be submitted between April 8 to May 14, 2025. Below are the details about how to apply online for AP EDCET Entrance exam:

Step 1. Visit the official website @ https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/.

Step 2. Click on the link for Fee Payment. Enter the required details and initiate the payment.

Step 3. Click the link to check your payment status. Once the payment is complete, click on the link to fill the application form.

Step 4. Fill in the application form and upload the necessary documents like signature and photograph. You may use the Testbook Resize Tool to optimize the size of these documents for uploading.

Step 5. Verify the details entered and submit the application form.

AP EDCET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Students applying for the AP EDCET Exam 2025 must first check the eligibility criteria below.

AP EDCET Nationality & Domicile

• All candidates must be Indian citizens.
• Candidates must meet the qualifications for Local/Non-Local status.

AP EDCET Educational Qualifications

The applicants must have the required educational qualifications to be eligible for the AP EDCET Exam.

• Passed/appeared for final year examinations of B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./ B.C.A./B.B.M.
• Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree i.e., B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M and or in the PostGraduate Degree in relevant subject or 5 years integrated course in the relevant subject of methodology or any other qualification equivalent there too.
• Candidates belonging to reserved categories should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates who passed B.E/B.Tech. (with a minimum of 55% of marks), with Mathematics, and Physics are also eligible.

AP EDCET Age Limit 

The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on the 1st of July 2025. There shall be no maximum age limit.

AP EDCET Exam Pattern 2025

• The test will be an objective type (multiple choice)
• 150 questions will be asked
• The duration of the test is two hours
• The question paper will have 3 parts: General English, General Knowledge & Teaching Aptitude, and Methodology.

Part C Subject Eligibility Criteria 

The applicants can choose the subjects under the Methodology section on the basis of fulfillment of the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

• Mathematics: Candidates with B.A/B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the group subjects or B.C.A. candidates with Mathematics at intermediate level as a group subject or B.Tech. with Mathematics & Physics.
• Physical Sciences: Candidates with B.Sc. who have studied Physics and Chemistry or Allied Material Sciences (See Annexure-I) under Part-II group subjects or B.C.A. candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at intermediate level as group subjects. 
• Biological Sciences: Candidates with B.Sc./B.Sc.(Home Science) who have studied Botany and Zoology or Allied Life Sciences (See Annexure-II) under Part-II group subjects or B.C.A. candidates with Biological Sciences at the intermediate level as group subjects. 
• Social Studies: All candidates with B.A./B.Com./B.B.M. or B.C.A. candidates with Social Sciences at intermediate level as group subjects. 
• English: Candidates with B.A Special English or M.A. English. 

AP EDCET Syllabus 2025

PART-A: General English 

• Reading Comprehension
• Correction of Sentences, Articles, Prepositions, Tenses, Spelling. 
• Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms. 
• Transformation of Sentences - Simple, Compound and Complex. Voices, Direct Speech and Indirect Speech.

PART-B: General Knowledge & Teaching Aptitude

• Questions to test the ability of the candidate’s general knowledge of the environment around him and its application to society. 
• Questions to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific outlook as is expected of an educated person.

AP EDCET Exam Cut Off 2025

AP EDCET Cut Off 2025 will be released after the examination has been conducted. However, the minimum qualifying marks for the AP Ed. CET The qualifying marks for all candidates (except SC/ST) are 37 (25%) out of the total marks. For the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, there will be no qualifying marks for ranking. There will be no minimum qualifying marks for women in Physical Sciences/Mathematics methodologies.
