Concept:

  • Positive clamper circuit: This circuit adds the positive dc component to the input signal to push it to the positive side. 

  • Negative clamper circuit:  This circuit adds the negative dc component to the input signal to push it to the negative side.

  • Positive peak detector circuit: This circuit detects the positive peak value of the input signal and provides it in the output.

  • Negative peak detector circuit: This circuit detects the negative peak value of the input signal and provides it in the output.

Calculation:

This diagram can be broken out into two circuits:
