Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFCommunication plays a crucial role in a classroom teaching-learning process. It takes place between teachers and learners as well as among learners. Classroom communication consists of four elements.
Elements of Classroom Communication:
- Awareness: Classroom communication starts when the teacher makes the learners aware of the lesson that he/she is about to teach. This involves telling them the objectives of the lesson before starting the lesson.
- Interest: The second step is to get the learners engaged and interested in the lesson by making use of interesting techniques of teaching, connecting the lesson with real life, using appealing teaching aids, etc.
- Evaluation: Once the lesson is taught, the learners are assessed on their learning. This can be done in many ways. Evaluation occurs during the lesson and also after the lesson.
- Knowledge: Following the above steps successfully will lead to the gaining of new knowledge in the learners. It is the outcome of the communication process where the pre-set goal of gaining knowledge is achieved.
Thus, the classroom communication process follows the above-mentioned sequential order.
