Given:

22x - 10 × 2x + 16 = 0

Calculation:

Splitting the middle terms to form factors,

⇒ 22x – 8.2x – 2.2x + 16 = 0

⇒ 2x(2x – 8) – 2(2x – 8) = 0

⇒ (2x – 2)(2x – 8) = 0

Now, we have 2x = 2 and 2x = 8

⇒ 2x = 21 and 2x = 23

Comparing both values, we get x = 1 or x = 3.

Therefore, the roots of the equation are 1 and 3.
