Let the father's age be 7x and the son's age be 4x.
According to the question,
⇒ 7x × 4x = 6300
⇒ x2 = \(\frac{6300}{7\times 4}\) = 225
⇒ x = \(\sqrt{225}\) = 15
Age of the son = 4x = 4 × 15 = 60 years
