Given:

1000 bricks can be purchased in = Rs. 2500

Calculation:

In Rs. 2500 bricks can be purchased = 1000

⇒ In Rs. 1 brick can be purchased in = 1000/2500

⇒ In Rs. 4000 bricks can be purchased = \(\frac{1000}{2500} \times 4000\) = 1600

∴ 1600 bricks can be purchased in Rs. 4000.

The correct option is 2 i.e. 1600
