Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
One angle of a pentagon = 140°
The remaining angles are in the ratio 1 : 2 : 3 : 4
Concept:
The sum of the interior angles of a pentagon is equal to 540°.
Calculation:
Angles of the pentagon are x, 2x, 3x and 4x
⇒ x + 2x + 3x + 4x + 140° = 540°
⇒ 10x = 400°
⇒ x = 40°
∴ The largest angle = 4x = 4 × 40° = 160°
The correct option is 2 i.e. 160°Last updated on Jun 6, 2025
