I. Arvind's rank in a class of 50 students is 29th from the top.

Total students = 50

Arvind's rank from top = 29th

Arvind's rank from Bottom = Total number of student - Arvind Rank from top + 1

= 50 - 29 + 1

= 22

So, Statement I is sufficient to give answer.

॥ Arvind's friend's rank is 19th from the bottom.

Here Total number of students and the Rank of Arvind with respect to his friend is not given.

So, Statement II is not sufficient.

Hence, The data given in statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question, while the data in statement II alone is not sufficient to answer the question.
