According to the question circuit diagram of DC shunt generator can be drawn asNow, shunt field current (Ish) is

Ish = 5 A

Now Armature current is

Ia = IL + Ish = 450 + 5

Ia = 455 A

Now generated emf in dc shunt generator on be calculated as

E = V + Ia Ra

E = 250 + 455 (0.01) = 250 + 4.55

E = 254.55 V
