Given:

Efficiency of A = 2 × efficiency of B

Concept used:

If total work is constant then,

Efficiency ∝ (1/time)

Formula used:

Total work = efficiency × time

Calculation:

Efficiency of A : Efficiency of B = 2 : 1

Total work = (2 + 1) × 20

⇒ 3 × 20 = 60

Time taken by A to do the same work = 60/2 

⇒ 30 days

∴ The correct answer is 30 days.
