Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven∶
He gains T% when he sells his articles.
He uses 800 grams in place of a kilogram or 1000 gram
Formula Used∶
Gain% = [(100 + profit%) × (Original weight/Altered weight)] – 100
Calculation∶
Let 1000 gm be Rs.1000.
Original weight = 1 kg = 1000 gram
Altered weight = 800 gram
Profit occurred = T%
CP of 800 gm = Rs. 800
SP = 800 × 140/100 = 1120
T% = (1120 - 1000)/1000 × 100
⇒ 120/1000 × 100 = 12%
∴ The answer is 12%
