Calculation:

Given:

Mass of body (m) = 40 kg, Acceleration (a) = 5 m/s², Time (t) = 20 s.

According to the kinematics equation, assuming acceleration is constant,

\(S = ut + \frac{1}{2}a{t^2}\)

As the body starts from rest u = 0 i.e. Initial velocity.

\(S = 0 + \frac{1}{2} \times 5 \times {20^2} = 1000\:m\)

∴ S = 1000 metres
