We place B and E such that there is 2 spaces between them and B sits on an even number except 4 so we choose 2 because when we will have to place A and D the arrangement will be incorrect.
Step 2: D lives immediately below A. A lives on an even numbered floor.
We place A on 4 and D below A because we cannot place A at 6 as there is no space left for D.
Step 3: Neither D nor C live on the lowermost floor.
Now we place C at 6 because it cannot be placed at 1 and then we place F at the only spot left.
From the arrangement we can see that A lives on floor 4.
