All 3D shapes like cubes, boxes (cuboids), and tanks have volume, and if their dimensions (length, width, height) are given in meters, their volume is measured in cubic meters.
For example, if you have a box that’s 1 meter long, 1 meter wide, and 1 meter high, its volume is 1 cubic meter. In simple words, cubic meters show how much space an object fills.
Example 1: Suppose a cube has edges that are 4 m in length. The volume of the cube would be:
Volume of cube = Edge3 = 43 = 64 meter cube
Example 2: If a cuboid has a length of 3m, a breadth of 4m, and a height of 5m, the volume of the cuboid is:
V = Length x Breadth x Height
V = 3m x 4m x 5m
V = 60 m3
