WB Excise Constable Recruitment 2022: Check Revised Result, Final Merit List

WB Excise Constable Revised Result announced on 12th September 2022. Earlier the the Final Merit List of Provisionally Selected Candidates was released on 9th August 2022.This is with reference to the 2019 cycle.  The West Bengal Police had released 3000 vacancies for the post of Excise Constable. The notification for the 2022 cycle is expected to be released soon. 

• It is necessary that the applicants must be between 18 - 27 years of age.
• The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent having Bengali/ Nepali as a language paper of or above the Madhyamik level.
• The candidates will undergo the following stages of the selection process - Preliminary Written Test, Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Final Written Exam, Interview, Document Verification, and Medical Test.

18th July 2022: WB Excise Constable Notice for Candidates with Incomplete Documents!

The WBPRB has issued a notice for candidates whose documents were found incomplete during the interview round. These candidates must report to the Office of the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board by 25th July 2022 with all the required documents. Candidates who fail to do so will be disqualified.

West Bengal Excise Constable Vacancy

WB Excise Constable Exam Pattern (Prelims)

The first stage of the selection process will be a preliminary written test. In this candidates will be assessed for their knowledge in language. The test will be conducted for an hour and the maximum number of marks will be 100. Below is the detailed exam pattern for the preliminary written examination.

• A total number of 100 questions are asked.
• The exam is conducted for 100 marks.
• A total number of 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The duration of the examination is 1 hour.

WB Excise Constable Final Written Test Exam Pattern

After qualifying the PMT/PET, the third stage will be a final written test. Candidates will have to attempt this in order to move ahead in the recruitment process. This test will be held for 1 hour 30 minutes and will consist of 90 questions. Below is the detailed exam pattern for the final written examination.

• A total number of 90 questions are asked for the examination.
• The final written test is conducted for 90 marks.
