UPSC Jobs Application Dates 2025

The Union Public Service Commission, or UPSC as it is more generally known, is India's top central hiring organisation for the selection of all Group "A" officers working for the Indian government. All Group "A" positions in all union government establishments, which also includes all central public sector organisations and all central autonomous bodies, are subject to its nomination and examination processes. The central personnel agency in India is the Department of Personnel and Training. The Government must also confer with it with issues involving hiring, moving, promoting, and disciplining employees. The commission answers directly to the President, who also serves as a conduit for advice to the government. However, the Government is not obligated by such advise.
