UPESEAT Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2023: Get Subject-wise Topic List and Marking Scheme

The University of Petroleum & Energy Studies will release the syllabus for University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT). The UPESEAT syllabus mirrors that of the JEE Mains. The UPESEAT exam will be conducted through online and offline mode. The candidates appearing for the UPESEAT exam can check the detailed syllabus to hatch a well constructed study plan. 

• The syllabus for UPESEAT will contain three main sections: Physics, Chemistry and Maths. 
• The UPESEAT exam will be held through the online mode consisting of Multiple Choice Questions. 
• The centre-based exam will span for 3 hours and the online Computer Based test will be conducted for 2 hours. 
• The syllabus for UPESEAT examination will include topics from the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology of 11th and 12th NCERT syllabus along with English language Comprehension, Current Affairs Awareness sections.

UPESEAT Exam Pattern 2023

The exam pattern for the UPESEAT exam will differ according to the mode it is being conducted. The features of both methods are elaborated below: 

• The total number of questions asked in this exam will be 200. 
• The time allotted to complete all the Multiple choice questions will be 3 hours. 
• Every correct answer will help the candidate to bag 1 mark and no marks will be deducted for incorrect answers. 

The candidate opting for the online Computer Based will have to attend an extra section of current affairs section. The candidates can check the subject-wise marking scheme mentioned in the following table: 

• The candidates will have to complete 125 Multiple choice questions within 2 hours. 
• The marking scheme will be the same as the centre based exams’. 
• 35 questions will be asked from each main subject and 20 questions from English Language Comprehension.

Some Preparation Tips for UPESEAT Exam 2023 

As said earlier in the article, the main core of the UPESEAT syllabus is 11th and 12th NCERT. To tackle the preparation the candidates can follow some result oriented study tips listed below: 

• The candidates must be very well acquainted with the UPESEAT syllabus along with the exam pattern. 
• As the exam will be conducted through offline and online mode, the applicants will have to study accordingly with the additional section in the online Computer Based test. 
• To prepare for the current affairs section, the candidates must make a habit of reading newspapers daily. The candidates should read from reliable sources like The Hindu, Indian Express etc..
