TNPSC Field Surveyor Application Process 2022

The candidate should follow the proper steps to apply for the TNPSC Field Surveyor application. We are providing you with stepwise guidance to apply for the exam so that you will not face any problems while filling out the application form. The steps are as follows:

Step 1: You have to first visit the official website of the TNPSC.

Step 2: On the home page, Click on the Apply Online button that is mentioned under the Important Link section. (Candidates need to make sure that they have done One Time Registration already.)

Step 3: Search for notification of TNPSC Field Surveyor 2022 and click on it.

Step 4: A new page will be displayed where you have to fill out all the required details correctly. 

Step 5: After filling in all the details, click on the Submit button and pay the application fee as per your category.

Step 6: Download the application form and keep a print copy for future reference.

TNPSC Field Surveyor 2022 Application Fee 

Candidates applying for the TNPSC Field Surveyor 2022 exam should know the amount of fee they have to pay for the application and examination. 

• The fee will be payable only through Net Banking / Credit card / Debit card on or before the date of submission of the online application, by choosing the option in the online application.
• Along with the application fee candidates will also have to pay the service charges also as applicable.
• Candidates who have earlier paid the One Time Registration (OTR) fee and have received their registration ID will not be required to pay the registration fee again. 
• Offline mode of payment in the form of demand draft / postal order etc. will not be accepted and the applications of candidates with such modes of payment will be summarily rejected.

Note: 

(i) Linking Aadhaar number with One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory for applicants.

(ii) One Time Registration is valid for five years from the date of registration. After completion of five years, the applicant must renew the One Time Registration by paying the fee prescribed. The Time Registration is different from the application for the examination. An applicant should make an online application separately for each and every examination for which he intends to appear.

TNPSC Field Surveyor Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who are appearing for the TNPSC Field Surveyor 2022, should meet the eligibility criteria in terms of age limit and educational qualification. Check out the below points to know more about the eligibility criteria:

TNPSC FS Age Limit (as on 1st July 2022)

Age Relaxation

There are some categories who get benefited from relaxation in the upper age limit. Check out the below points to understand more about it:

• Persons with Benchmark Disability will get the age relaxation of 10 years over the maximum age limit prescribed.
• The maximum age limit for the Ex-Servicemen applying for the post will be 50 years (will not apply to the Ex-servicemen candidates who have already been recruited to any category/class or service).

TNPSC FS Educational Qualification (as on 29th July 2022)

• Candidates applying for the post should have a Diploma in Civil Engineering from any Institute approved by the All India Council for Technical Education

Or

• Must have National Trade Certificate in the trade of Surveyor awarded by the National Council for Vocational Training (for Surveyor)

Or

• Should have a Certificate in Army Trade Surveyor (field) issued by Madras Engineering Group

TNPSC Field Surveyor Selection Process

The selection of the candidates for the TNPSC Field Surveyor 2022 is based on one stage only. The selection will be made based on the total marks obtained by the candidates in the “Written Examination”. 

There will be two objective type papers:

• Paper I- Objective Type: Subject Paper of ITI Standard.
• Paper II- Objective Type: Part-A-Tamil Eligibility Test of SSLC Standard and Part-B-General Studies of ITI Standard.

The candidates who have not appeared for one or any of the papers of the Written Examination will not be considered for selection, even if they secure the minimum qualifying marks for the selection.

TNPSC Field Surveyor 2022 Exam Pattern

All the candidates who are planning to appear for the exam should know the exam pattern. It will help them to know how many questions and what will be the duration of the exam. Check out the below table to know more:

• The exam will be conducted for a total of 450 marks.
• Only marks secured by candidates in the Paper-I and Part-B of Paper-II of the exam will be considered for the ranking.
• The questions that will be asked in Paper-I and Part–B of Paper II will be set both in Tamil and English.
• Part A of Paper II will be only in the Tamil language.
• The minimum qualifying marks for the candidates belonging to reserved categories like SCs, SC(A)s, STs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs, MBC/DCs, and Destitute Widows will be 135.
• The minimum qualifying marks for the candidates belonging to other categories will be 180 marks.

TNPSC Field Surveyor Syllabus

Candidates should be well aware of the TNPSC Field Surveyor Syllabus as without this candidates will not be able to prepare well for the exam. The syllabus for the TNPSC includes subjects like - Basic Engineering, Chain Surveying, Compass Surveying, Plain Table Surveying, and much more for the ITI standard paper. From the General studies subjects like - Geography, Polity, Current Affairs and much more. There are 10 units in the Subject Paper.

Tentative answer keys has been released on the Commission’s website. Candidates need to visit the official site of TNPSC and from there they can download the Tentative Answer Key.

Step 2: Undet the Results tab search for Answer Key.

Step 3: Log in using your credentials.

Step 4:  Download the Answer Key and tally your answers with it. 

How to challenge the TNPSC Answer Key?

Candidates can challenge the tentative answer keys of the objective type examination through the ‘Answer Key Challenge’ window available in the Commission’s website. The requests to challenge the tentative answer key shall be submitted only through online mode within seven days from the date of publication of tentative answer keys. Representations received by post or e-mail will receive no attention. The Commission will not publish the final answer key until the completion of the entire selection process.
