Step 3 – Assign +4 marks for every correct answer.

Probable Score = (No. of Correct Answers x 4) – (No. of Incorrect Answers x 1)

If candidates notice any discrepancies in the provisional answer key, the NTA offers a chance to raise objections. These objections are carefully reviewed before the final answer key is published. To challenge the provisional answer key, candidates need to note the Question ID and the answer given in the official JEE Main Answer Key 2025.

Steps to Raise Objections Against JEE Main Answer Key 2025

Follow the steps given below to challenge the provisional Answer Key –

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in and click on the link "Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key."

Step 2: Login to Your Account

Enter your Application Number and Password, type the Captcha Code as displayed, and click Submit.

Step 3: Select the Answer Key Challenge Option

After logging in, click on "Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key."

Step 4: View Question IDs and Answer Keys

A list of Question IDs for JEE Main 2025 (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) will appear along with the correct answer options as per NTA.

Step 5: Select Questions to Challenge

If you want to challenge an answer, select the Option ID(s) you believe are correct by checking the respective box.

Step 6: Upload Supporting Documents

Candidates can upload supporting documents by clicking "Choose File and Upload" (all documents should be in a single PDF file).

Step 7: Save and Review Challenges

After selecting the challenges, click "Save your claim and move on to the next screen" to review all challenged questions.

Step 8: Final Submission and Payment

Click "Save your claim and Pay Fee finally." Choose a payment method and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 200 per question via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

JEE Main Answer Key Challenge Fee

Candidates who wish to challenge the JEE Main 2025 answer key must pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question. This fee can be paid online via debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI, or Paytm services. It's important to note that this fee is non-refundable, even if the challenge is accepted.

How to Use JEE Main Response Sheet PDF?

When both the Answer Key and the Response Sheet are made available on the JEE Main website, you are supposed to download both of them and verify your answers to those given in the Answer Key.

• If the Answer ID and your Response ID coincide then your answer is correct and you get a +4 mark if not then one mark will be deducted.
• However, if you are confident that the answer provided by NTA to a question is incorrect, you can claim the authorities for the same, this is called challenging the Answer Key. 
• You have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 to claim that the NTA’s answer is incorrect and yours is correct.
