Indian Coast Guard Navik (DB) Exam Pattern
The Indian Coast Guard recruitment for the post of Navik (DB) will consist of three stages in the selection. The first stage of the selection process will be the online examination. The detailed exam pattern for stage I is given below.
Navik DB Exam Pattern
The Navik DB Exam Pattern will be a computer-based test comprised of five subjects that are Mathematics, Science, English, Reasoning, and GK. Check Detailed exam patterns and marks etc here.

Important pointers
- The written exam will be an objective type test with four options.
- One questions carry one mark each.
- There is no negative marking in the written examination test.
Breaking Rule in Merit - The Breaking rule in merit is applied in case of two or more candidates having the same marks in stage I then the tie will be broken in steps as follows
(i) Candidate who gets more aggregate percentage in the qualifying exam (10th class for Nvk (DB))
(ii) Candidate older in age will be higher in merit.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) - Stage II
Candidates who will clear the written test will be eligible for the next round of Physical Fitness Test. Below mentioned are the activities that will be performed during the PFT round. This test will be qualifying in nature.
- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
- 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak).
- 10 Pushup
Medical Examination and Initial Document Verification - Stage III
Candidates who will clear the above-mentioned stages will be eligible for the Induction round. In this round document verification round and final medical examination round is conducted. Candidates need to present theri basic documents like education certificates etc here.
Final Medical Exam - The selected candidates will now be called for the final medical examination. Check the medical standards required to clear the selection process
