The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) holds the Accountant Exam to select candidates for the position of Accountant in various Haryana government agencies. Given the exam's competitiveness, thorough preparation and knowledge of the syllabus and exam format are essential. In this article, we will go into great detail about the HSSC Accountant Syllabus and Exam Pattern. 

  • A written test and socio-economic criteria are the two bases of the exam for the selection process of the candidates. Those applicants who pass the written exam will be called upon for the subsequent document verification round.

Haryana Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification regarding the HSSC Accountant exam and other Group C posts.   • Every question must be answered. The exam will be bilingual. (English & Hindi). An offline (OMR-based) written exam will be administered to hire for Group-C positions. 
  • There won't be any deductions for incorrect answers. 
  • There will be 100 total questions with a weighted average of 0.975 marks per question.
  • Out of the five options, a candidate must fill out one without exception.
  • If candidates do not know the answer, they will be given another five minutes to mark the fifth option. 
  • The total time allotted for the paper - 100 plus 5 minutes - will be 105 minutes.
  •  A candidate will lose 0.975 marks for each question they don't attempt if they don't check one of the five options.

Socio-Economic Criteria

If a candidate meets the socioeconomic criteria listed below and has indicated they do so in their application, they will receive a 2.5% socioeconomic weighting.

2) A Candidate will receive 2.5% weightage given that 

(i) Neither he nor any member of the applicant's family is/was/has been a regular employee in any Department/Board/Corporation/Company/Statutory Body/Commission/Authority of the Haryana Government or any other State Government or Government of India; and 

(ii) the family's gross annual income from all sources, including salary, farming, business, profession, etc., for the financial

2) If the applicant is one of the following:

(i) a widow;

(ii) the first or second kid and his patron expired before the candidate turned forty-two years old;

(iii) the first or second kid and his patron expired before the candidate turned fifteen years old, they are eligible for a 2.5% weighting allowance, subject to entries in the Parivar Pehchan Patra or a certificate from the appropriate authority in the prescribed format. (2.5% of the total) 

3) The applicant shall be entitled to 2.5% weightage if they are a member of one of the denotified tribes (Vimukt Jatis and Tapriwas Jatis) or a nomadic tribe of the State. (2.5% of the total) 

4) If selected, the applicant will receive a half-percent weighting for each year or portion of that year of experience that exceeds six months on the same or a higher post in any department, board, corporation, company, statutory body, commission, or authority under the Haryana Government. For any period shorter than six months or longer than eight years, no experience weighting will be given. (4% of the total)
