Concept - 
The reagent HPalladium in presence of calcium or barium sulphate salt is reffered as lindlard catalyst it is often poisened with pyridine or quinoline.

  • The lindlard catalyst is used for hydrogenation of alkynes to alkene.
  • It generates a cis alkene.

Explanation -

  •  As, the above reaction is taking place at 1 atm so only one of the alkyne will get converted.
  • Now, according to the chemoselectivity the alkyns next to SiMe3 Will not get reduced as Si is larger in size and wil act as soft center. 
  • Hence, the another alkyne gets converted to cis alkene
