Given:

The average of seven consecutive odd numbers is 17

Concept used:

We know that the average of any consecutive number is the middle number of that given series.

Calculation:

The average of seven consecutive odd numbers is 17, the seven numbers are in order ⇒ 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23

If next three odd numbers added in the series will have 10 numbers, then it becomes ⇒ 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29

Average of the series is 5.5th number, which is (19 + 21)/2 = 20

∴ The correct answer is 20
