Given:

Rs. 3,600 is divided among A, B, and C.

A's share is 1/2 of B's share.

B's share is 2/3 of C's share.

Formula used:

Let B's share = x

A's share = 1/2 × x = x/2

B's share = x

C's share = 3/2 × x = 3x/2

Total share of A, B, and C = 3600

Calculation:

x/2 + x + 3x/2 = 3600

⇒ (x/2 + 2x/2 + 3x/2) = 3600

⇒ 6x/2 = 3600

⇒ 3x = 3600

⇒ x = 3600/3

⇒ x = 1200

∴ The correct answer is option (2).
