The give pie chart shows the percentage distribution of number of schools in five different cities [A, B, C, D and E].
Total value of pie chart is 6000.
Ratio of boys and girls’ school in city A is 3 : 2 and ratio of boys and girls’ school in city B is 3 : 1. Find the difference between total number of boys and total number girls’ school in city A and B together?

Number of schools in city A is 6000 × 18 /100 = 1080
Similarly, number of schools in city B, C, D and E is 720, 840, 1560 and 1800 respectively.

City A: Boys : Girls = 3 : 2 → Total parts = 5
Boys = [3/5] × 1080 = 648
Girls = [2/5] × 1080 = 432
City B: Boys : Girls = 3 : 1 → Total parts = 4
Boys = [3/4] × 720 = 540
Girls = [1/4] × 720 = 180
Total Boys = 648 + 540 = 1188
Total Girls = 432 + 180 = 612
Difference = 1188 – 612 = 576
