Given:

Let the first number be x.

Let the second number be y.

Formula used:

Percentage = (Value/Original value) × 100

Calculation:

One-third of the first number = x/3

150% of the second number = 1.5y

Product = (x/3) × 1.5y

⇒ Product = 0.5xy

Original product = x × y

Percentage = (0.5xy/xy) × 100

⇒ Percentage = 0.5 × 100

⇒ Percentage = 50%

∴ The product is 50% of the original product.
