Calculation:

Let M's income = 100

⇒ L's income = 125

Let M's expenditure = x

⇒ L's expenditure = 1.2x

L's income = 1.8x

⇒ 125 = 1.8x

⇒ x = 125 / 1.8

⇒ x = 69.44

M's income = 100

M's expenditure = 69.44

M's savings = 100 - 69.44 = 30.56

L's income = 125

L's expenditure = 1.2 × 69.44 = 83.33

L's savings = 125 - 83.33 = 41.67

Respective ratio of L's savings and M's savings = 41.67 : 30.56

⇒ L's savings/M's savings = 41.67 / 30.56

⇒ L's savings/M's savings = 1.36
