Given:

Weight of two metals are in the ratio 7 : 8.

Weight of compound = 1200 gm

Calculation:

Let the weight of two metals be 7x and 8x

Then 7x + 8x = 1200 gm

⇒ 15x = 1200 gm

⇒ x = 80 gm

∴ Difference between weight of these two metal is 8x – 7x = x = 80 gm = 80 × 1/1000 kg = 0.080 kg
