How to affect tobacco consuming during pregnancy?

• Babies weighing less than 2.5 kg at birth are called low birth weight babies. These children are weak either because of being born prematurely or due to malnutrition/disease despite being on full-time.
• According to the CDC, smoking while pregnant can cause low birth weight, breathing problems, and brain damage that causes cerebral palsy.
• Smoking can also cause delays in the development of the baby's hearing and vision, and pregnant women are at risk of abnormal bleeding during pregnancy and delivery.

Smoking can harm the baby-

• The baby may be born too small and at low birth weight, even after a complete pregnancy.
• Smoking slows the growth of the baby before birth.
• The baby may be born very early (premature birth). Premature babies often have health problems.
• Smoking can damage a baby's developing lungs and brain. The damage can last into childhood and adolescence.
• Smoking doubles your risk of abnormal bleeding during pregnancy and delivery. This can put both the mother and the baby in danger.
• Smoking increases the baby's risk of birth defects, including cleft lip, cleft palate, or both.
• Children of mothers who smoked during pregnancy and those exposed to cigarette smoke after birth have a higher risk of SIDS.
