Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will release the LIC Assistant Syllabus & exam pattern soon for the recruitment of Clerical Staff such as Cashiers, Single Window Operators, and Customer Service Executives across its various branches. LIC Assistant exam 2025 will consist of three phases, prelims, mains, followed by a medical test. The prelims exam will be conducted for 60 minutes while the mains time duration is 150 minutes. As per the latest updates, 1/4th marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer as part of the negative marking scheme. LIC Assistant Prelims Exam Pattern 2025
The LIC Assistant Prelims Exam is the first stage of the recruitment process. It is a qualifying test conducted online and is designed to assess a candidate’s basic aptitude and language skills.

LIC Assistant Mains Exam Pattern 2025
The LIC Assistant Mains Exam is the second and most crucial stage of the selection process. It is conducted online and includes five sections that test a candidate’s overall aptitude, awareness, and language skills. The exam is scored out of 200 marks, with a total time duration of 150 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Language Proficiency Test 2025
After the candidates have qualified in the prelims and mains examination, they will have to go through a language proficiency test followed by a medical test. If they qualify for this test and clear the medical test, they will be fit and would be given the post of LIC assistant.
