Elon does provide Early Decision (binding) with a November 1 deadline. If accepted, those who apply through Early Decision pledge to attend Elon.

Although Elon does not have a minimum GPA requirement, the average admitted student has an unweighted GPA of about 3.9. It is advised to have a solid academic record in college-prep courses.

Elon University does not require tests. Students who submit test results, however, usually fall between 1200 and 1380 on the SAT or between 25 and 30 on the ACT.

Students must apply for Early Action (November 1) or Regular Decision (January 10) and finish the scholarship application by January 15 in order to be eligible for the Presidential and Fellows Scholarships.

There are only 45 students chosen annually for the Honors Fellows Program, making it extremely difficult. Candidates must submit a second application by January 15 and have a solid academic record (usually a weighted GPA above 4.0) in order to be considered.
