The National Testing Agency conducts the Joint CSIR UGC NET examination for the following subjects- Chemical Science, Earth Science, Life Science, Physical Science and Mathematical Science. The CSIR NET is held biannually in June and December. Lakhs of students from all over India take part in this examination. Upon qualifying for this examination, candidates can apply for Junior Research Fellow and Assistant Professor positions. In June 2022, 1,62,084 aspirants participated in the CSIR UGC NET examination. Here, we will look into the CSIR important topics for preparation for all five subjects. There are three parts for all the papers- Part A is General Aptitude which is common for all and Parts B and C are subject-specific. CSIR Important Topics: Exam Pattern

The CSIR NET examination will be conducted in online mode i.e. through a Computer Based Test. The total duration of the examination is 3 hours (180 minutes). The question paper will be bilingual for all the subjects in English and Hindi. The total marks of all the subjects is 200 but the number of questions varies from subject to subject. Only objective questions will be asked.
