Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI) has strongly condemned the US attacks on country’s three nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, Isfahan. The agency highlighted that the “brutal assault” on them violates international law, citing their supervision by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). Notably, US President Donald Trump on Sunday, declared that Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated, following the military strikes.
The AEOI in its scathing statement, asserted that the aggression was carried out “under the indifference–or rather the complicity–of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).” The agency has further urged the international community to condemn this lawlessness and to stand with Iran.
“The international community is expected to condemn this lawlessness based on jungle rules and to stand with Iran in asserting its legitimate rights… The organisation assures the great Iranian nation that despite enemy’s sinister conspiracies, it will not allow the progress of this national industry to be halted,” read the AEOI statement as reported by Press TV.
“The organisation has placed on its agenda all necessary actions to defend the rights of the noble Iranian people, including legal follow-up measures,’ the statement added.
The AEOI firmly stated that Tehran won’t stop the nuclear development program despite facing setback due to evil conspiracies.
“The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran assures the great Iranian nation that despite the evil conspiracies of its enemies, with the efforts of thousands of its revolutionary and motivated scientists and experts, it will not allow the development of this national industry, which is the result of the blood of nuclear martyrs, to be stopped,” it added further.
