The Xiaomi 15 as well as the 15 Ultra have been unveiled at the MWC 2025, these are the successor to the last year’s Xiaomi’s 14 series. Both the new launches are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset and Boast, a camera module that has been co-developed by Leica. Before the launch at the MWC 2025, the phones were launched in China on February 27.
Xiaomi 15 Specs and Features
The Xiaomi 15 Features a 6.36 inch 1.5k Oled screen with a resolution of 1220×2712 pixels- Beyond a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an impressive peak brightness of 3200 Nits giving the display a profound appeal. Xiaomi has taken care of all the facets necessary to make the phone a success. The 15’ has been manufactured using a new chassis and hence it now has a thickness of only 8.08 mm and weighs only 191 grams. Under the two-tone appeal, the phone is being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB RAM and 256 GB of Storage.
A triple camera setup would take care of all your photography requirements, it has been specifically designed for this new iteration along with the support of Leica. The primary camera in the setup is a 50 Mp LYT 900 sensor with OIS. This sensor is accompanied by that of a 50mp Telephoto lens with 3.2 x optical zoom. For the front-facing camera, the device has a 32 megapixel front-facing camera as well.
Beyond all the features Xiaomi has further made sure that the phone has a day’s worth of battery sustenance and hence it has been fitted with a 5,240 mAh battery. Beyond the battery, Xiaomi has also given it a 90w wired fast charging ability. The Phone uses Hyper OD 2 this OS has been based on Android 15 offering the user a refined experience with new features and optimizations. The phone has been equipped with an ip68 rating for dust and water resistance as well.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specs and Features
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is being powered by the 8 Elite chipset, which has been built on the 3Nm process. The processor has been paired with 16 Gb LPDDR5X RAM and a 512 Gb 4.1 Storage.
One of the standout features of the phone would be its impressive camera setup that has been tuned and developed in collaboration with Leica. The Ultra has an impressive camera setup that has been housed in the circular module in the back. The primary sensor would be a SONT LYT900 sensor and OIS with a fixed f/1.63 aperture. The telephoto sensor is a Sony IMX858 Telephoto Sensor with 3x optical zoom and a Samsung ISOCELL HP9 Periscope Camera with a 50 mp wide lens. The Phone Supports 8k recording at 30FPS.
Xiaomi Prices of the Global Variants
The phone has been priced at EUR 999 for the 12 GB Ram + 256 GB variant, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra variant has been priced at EUR1,499 for the 16 GB Ram and 512 GB internal storage variant. The Phone would officially launch in India on 11th March.
