Despite not claiming any wickets, India ace allrounder Ravindra Jadeja was seen excited in the field. He indeed sledged the umpire, and fans found this hilarious. Indian players have been trying to get the ball changed due to the softening of the Duke ball. Both India’s captain, Shubman Gill, and his deputy, Rishabh Pant, also went to the umpires to get the ball changed. Finally, the umpires agreed to change the ball after thorough checking during the 27th over of England’s 2nd innings. Jadeja looked at umpire Chris Gaffaney and did a little first pump.

ICC Response To Pant’s Actions
India vice-captain and wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant has been fined for violating Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which deals with “showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during an International Match.” In the 61st over of England’s innings, while Harry Brook and Ben Stokes were at the crease, Pant was seen discussing the condition of the ball with the umpires. Where the umpires refused to change the ball after checking using the ball gauge, the wicket-keeper showed his disagreement by throwing the ball onto the ground in front of the umpires.
