Perfect Conditions For Batting As India Takes Control

Perfect batting conditions were there for the game, and Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian captain for the match, decided to bat first. The openers of India, Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson, gave India a good start by putting on 73 runs for the first wicket. Sharma was lost, but when Tilak Varma came, the game became one hell of a spectacular show of batting.

Samson And Varma’s Carnage Takes India To 283/1

The moment Tilak Varma came to join Sanju Samson in the middle, the South African bowlers were left with little or nothing to reply to the relentless onslaught. The duo was in devastating form, hitting boundaries all across the park. Together, Samson and Varma hit 19 sixes, and their onslaught left Protea’s attack completely undone. Together, the two took India to a massive total but also ensured that they both reached their respective centuries.
