The most awaited Test series between the 2 powerhouses of cricket, India and England. Day 2 of the first Test at Leeds saw nothing short of a dramatic show, where a mammoth of 550-600 runs seemed possible for the Indian side. It turned out that the visitors were bowled out for just 471 runs. But what was witnessed as formidable was the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) fandom, the Bengaluru-based franchise in the IPL. A fan was seen wearing the RCB jersey on Day 2 of the Leeds Test.

India 1st Innings
Jaiswal, Gill, and Pant scored a hundred apiece in illuminating the innings, something that England could not maintain in lines and lengths. They worked all Friday and nearly 90 minutes on Saturday as well, and appeared unfocused. But as somebody says, one never knows what can happen to events in Cricket and so in Tests. With almost 30 minutes to go to Lunch on Day 2, India were staring at 550-600 and then in a matter of almost no balls, they lost 7 of the last 8 wickets, 41 in 68 balls, to be in a realm of facing the bowling attack. The lone bowler who bowled with intention, though, was Ben Stokes, who picked 4 wickets whilst Josh Tongue had the best of the conditions to clean up India’s tail, picking a 4-fer too. Shoaib Bashir bowled pretty well as well but his figures do not back him much.
RCB Ended 18-Year Drought
The final match of IPL 2025 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings was very historic in one way or another. After 18 years of agony, RCB clinched the first IPL trophy, and the game was viewed as the most-watched T20 match in history. The final was an exciting one, and in one of the nail-biting finals, RCB ended their champion drought, and fans around the globe had their eyes glued to the match. With a total of 31.7 billion minutes of watch-time on TV and digital platforms, this match is the biggest ever in the history of IPL by far, as per JioStar, the official IPL 2025 broadcaster and digital partner.
