Venkata Datta Sai On “Building Future Together”

Her husband Venkata Datta Sai also opined that “For Sindhu, the timing felt right. After the Olympics, she wanted to settle down, find stability, and then focus on the next chapter of her journey. We both knew this was the right step because it wasn’t just about the moment—it was about building a future together,” Datta Sai explained.

Almost a decade into the making of Indian badminton history, Sindhu’s recent performances include the 2016 Rio Olympics bronze and silver from Tokyo. In the group stages, she had won against Estonia’s Kristin Kubba and Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq, but during the knockout stages, lost to He Bing Jiao 19-21, 14-21.

Sindhu’s first title in 2024 came at the Syed Modi International, as she edged past China’s Wu Luo Yu in the final.
