Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) lost their key Australian batter Mitchell Marsh for their April 12 match against Gujarat Titans (GT) at home stadium. Rishabh Pant informed the opposition that Mitchell Marsh had to sit out because his daughter was facing health problems. His replacement for this match came in the form of Himmat Singh.

Marsh’s impact

Because of his back injury, Marsh cannot bowl but he shows exceptional batting performance. Despite facing injury, he played five matches where his batting performance produced 265 runs with an average score of 53. Additionally he achieved four fifty-run scores. His batting speed reaches an exceptional level of 180.27 runs per over. During the Knights Riders (KKR) clash he managed to reach 81 runs.

Himmat Singh’s T20 numbers

Himmat Singh played his premier Indian Premier League match for Delhi. At twenty-eight years old Marsh has participated in fifty-five T20s and managed to accumulate 917 runs throughout forty-seven innings with 28.65 average while reaching five half-century milestones. The Delhi Capitals selected him at Rs 30 lakh during their team selection in the mega auction. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) once included Himmat until he failed to receive his first opportunity in the IPL.
