Ruturaj Gaikwad Injury: Michael Hussey Gives Important Update About Gaikwad – Will He Play CSK Vs DC Match?

Ahead of the Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Capitals match, CSK batting coach Michael Hussey has given very important update about Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Chennai Super Kings skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad’s availability for their next game against Delhi Capitals is doubtful. Gaikwad had hurt his elbow in CSK’s last game against Rajasthan Royals, and he was in pain. Despite this, he went on to bat and even scored his second half-century of the season. Nevertheless, because of the pain in his elbow, Gaikwad didn’t attend training for a couple of days prior to the match.

Gaikwad Likely To Play CSK Vs DC Match

Ahead of the game, CSK batting coach Michael Hussey had a look of hope on his face that Gaikwad will be ready in time for the match but made it clear that it all would depend on how the player reacts during Friday’s (April 4) practice session. Gaikwad, who has played a vital role for CSK during their struggling early batting, is the key to their success, especially as they seek to recover from two consecutive losses.

“I’m sure Fleming and Rutu have thought about that,” Hussey said. “But we’ve got some young guy coming through. He’s behind the stumps. Maybe he can do a good job. I’m not sure. He’s got a bit of experience in the role, so maybe he could do it. But I’m not exactly sure, to be honest.”
