Shubman Gill is all prepped up to play Champions Trophy which will be starting from February 19. But ahead of the marquee clash there’s an old video that has gone viral where Yuvraj Singh is seen roating Shubman Gill for his golf skills.
In the video Shubman Gill is seen playing golf but unable to hit the ball after multiple tries following which Yuvraj Singh is seen mocking him.
Yuvraj Singh has played a crucial role in Shubman Gill’s early career and has been his mentor.
Recently, Shubman Gill was seen honing his power-hitting skills and fine-tuning his reverse sweep at PCA Mohali. With an ODI series against England round the corner, the Indian opener returns for a three-match assignment that gets underway on Thursday, February 6, in Nagpur.
The 25-year-old played his latest match for Punjab during their 2024-25 Ranji Trophy against Karnataka recently. Although he scored just four runs in the first innings, Gill’s reply was sensational in second, as he scored 102 from 171 balls. It had as many as 14 boundaries and three sixes. But, Punjab still suffered a huge defeat by an innings and 207 runs.
Yuvraj Singh has mentored both Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill. In India vs England 5th T20I Abhishek Sharma played an outstanding knock and scored 135 runs in just 37 balls, following which he earned huge praise from Yuvraj Singh.
After playing ODI series against England, Shubman Gill will be featuring in Champions Trophy 2025 which will be starting from February 19.
