SRH Dominates CSK At Home

In batting Ishan Kishan (44) and Kamindu Mendis (32) led the charge and guided SRH towards much needed win to stay in the playoffs race. CSK on the other hand could not shine properly in both bowling and batting. Dewald Brewis was the only batter to score 42 followed by Ayush Mahtre’s tough knock of 30 runs. The only bowler who stood up for the team was Noor Ahmad who could pick 2 wickets.

MS Dhoni Reflects On CSK’s Loss

After the match, MS Dhoni reflected on CSK’s loss and mentioned that they were short of few runs which ultimately could be felt in the defeat.

“I think we kept losing wickets and another thing is in the first innings the wicket was slightly better and 157 wasn’t a justifiable score. It wasn’t turning a lot, a little two-paced but nothing out of the ordinary. Yes, second innings there was a bit of help. Our spinners, the quality was there and they were bowling in the right areas, but we were 15-20 runs short.”

MS Dhoni Praises Dewald Brevis

[On Brevis] I think he batted really well and we needed that in the middle order. When the spinners come in, you do it either by batsmanship or picking the right areas, but that’s an area where we want to improve because middle overs are crucial. In a tournament like this, if there are one or two areas to plug in the holes it’s good, but when a majority of the players are not doing well you need to make changes. You can’t just keep going. We are just not putting enough runs on the board.”
