Did IPL Unfollow RCB on Its Instagram Account?
A number of posts on the internet state that the step might result in the franchise being banned for a season, since there have been similar incidents in the past with CSK and RR. The Instagram account of IPL confirms that they are still following RCBâs official page. There is no proof that the league is creating a space between itself and the 2025 champions in digital areas. CSK And RR’s Ban
Because of a spot-fixing and betting scandal, the Indian Premier League (IPL) took action and suspended teams CSK and RR for two years between 2016 and 2017. The suspension was enforced because of the RM Lodha committeeâs decision that Gurunath Meiyappan (CSK) and Raj Kundra (RR) had been involved in betting illegally. Committee members also decided that Meiyappan and Kundra are banned from any cricket event for life.
Will BCCI Ban RCB?
Even though IPL franchises are owned by top corporations, they also follow contracts set by the BCCI that mention public safety as an issue. As the facts of the stampede are being examined, if the BCCI rules that the franchise violated any rule, it may be banned by the authorities. When Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals faced charges of spot fixing, the BCCI suspended them for two seasons back in 2015, so they could be suspended again in the same way.
